THANKS TO JOHN & KALI FOR THE KILLER PORTRAIT!

What a surprise! I got this tonight just before we all watched a Hedy Lamar film, the one where she runs naked around the woods! John did the drawing and Kali colored it! Unbelievable! Thanks guys!!!!

I'll have to find a place in Theory Mansion to hang it. Maybe just above the fireplace.

And talking about fireplaces....

Whoa is that really your fireplace Eddie? Is that also really your living room as well? Fantastic achievement man!

Good drawing by John and Kali as well, was it your birthday recently too Eddie?

I like that it takes 2 picture squares to properly encompass the majesty that is Eddie and his Theory Chair.

P.S. I particularly enjoy the frilly sock garters. Very cosmopolitan.

Sean: Good question! No, I had to borrow a picture of a fireplace because my house doesn't have one. I have a lot of theories about living room design. Maybe I'll post about it someday.

I really like this living room. It has "good vibes." The furniture is plain and yet sturdy and comfortable and the fireplace and book shelves have a nice, quietly dynamic design.

If you know anybody who has a knack for making rooms with good vibes, beg them on bended knees to decorate your place. Pay them well for it, and take their advice, no matter how crazy it sounds. It's as important to have stimulating, cozy, sociable rooms as it is a winter coat or a car. Bad or awkward rooms can kill your creativity.

That Tiki fireplace had rocked my socks off. No Question.

Funny Portrait, BTW.

Terrific portrait!

But you better be careful that Theory Chair doesn't walk itself out of the room...

You are one lucky uncle!

Y'know Eddie, I think it's time I move out of my apartment, I think my next project after getting a Fiat 500 (a cute and cartoony car) is to get this kind of living room. Of course no tiki's (it's getting too cliche and Disney for me). Wow thanks for the heads up.

However A fireplace w/ character does help! :)

My current apartment does have a fireplace and it's cool it looks like a late 19th century stove.

Eddie, your blog is starting to attract all the complete nutjob cases. Why is that?
It use to be a cool place to have intelligent discussions. Now it seems to be scaring off those with some kind of tact and couth in discussing your topics and leaving the socially inept to babble nonsensically.
Sure, these same social retards keep ass kissing you big time and singing your praises, but at a cost. I mean the Kliban obsessed guy alone is enough to ruin any chance at good discussion here anymore.
Maybe turning off your "anonynmous comment" options will rid some of those who can only muster up a "fuck Kliban" repeatedly as their best discussion. I dont know the answer, but its getting bad and you can see the level of smart, thought out commenting with an actual point deteriorating fast... and that sucks.

Anon (not crazy): Yeah, it certainly is a problem. I'll do something about it if it gets too bad. Thanks for the candor.

I would not like to live in that kind of house ... ... I would rather a common table(at least 1m of height) and confortable chair ,nothing more, and of course,(for me) those places are too big ,an unnecesary waste of space...
